Debut single "Carry On" out now.

Pip Sargeant’s journey as a musician began at the age of 7 with piano lessons, and by age 14 he placed first in local Eisteddfods on classical piano two years running. At 15 he’d taken up the guitar and was soon playing in touring acts The New Epoch, an originals band he was the front man for, and a big band playing jazz where he played rhythm and lead guitar. Notable performances with these bands included a show at the Royal Children's Hospital Starlight room, and the Mount Gambier Eisteddfod, where his jazz band placed second.

By 16, Pip was taking singing lessons in addition to his other instruments. He completed his high school Music Performance curriculum one year ahead of schedule and was accepted into a Music Enhancement program run by Monash University; an accelerated pathway for high school students to begin studying at university before graduating. That same year, Pip was a semi-finalist on the first season of Australian Idol.

Pip graduated high school achieving an A++ for his final performance exam. He was then accepted into Monash University's School of Music, studying a Bachelor of Music Performance with a major in voice, and was accepted by the faculty of Business and Finance to complete a Bachelor of Commerce concurrently. At the School of Music, he studied under renowned Australian singer Kate Ceberano, and American singer Alison Wedding.

While he studied, Pip was the front man for a progressive rock band called Non-Locality. The band recorded an EP however split up before it could be properly released. He also played rhythm and lead guitar in a number of amateur stage productions including Annie, Jesus Christ Superstar, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Les Miserables and The Sound of Music.

Toward the end of his time at Monash University, Pip teamed up with guitarist and producer Oscar Dawson (Holy Holy, Dukes of Windsor, Ali Barter) to write, record and perform. While the recordings weren’t released, some of the music was adapted for singer/songwriter Ali Barter’s 2017 release “A Suitable Girl”, nominated for triple J radio Album of the Year.

Pip graduated with a High Distinction for his final performance exam, with grades in the top 10% of all students. After university, Pip formed the band The Give; an indie pop/rock dance outfit. Over the course of five years, The Give played the majority of the iconic live music venues in Melbourne including the Toff in Town and the Esplanade Hotel. They performed with local and international touring talent such as Kingswood and The Feelers. Their debut release placed 3rd on triple J radio unearthed music charts, a national ongoing competition of Australian unsigned bands. They performed live on local radio and by their 3rd EP achieved airplay on national radio.

The Give finished up in 2014 and soon after Pip co-founded the band Lockett with singer/songwriter Tammy Martin. Lockett recorded with Chris Pettifer, Music Director for Australian soap opera 'Neighbours’, and released the single “Take the Fall”.

Pip made the decision to relocate to Vancouver, Canada in 2017. There, he quickly established himself as a solo artist, playing venues around Downtown Vancouver, Whistler, and Cypress Mountain.

In 2018, Pip made his debut writing music for film. Pip is a featured vocalist and composer on “5. A film about New York”, directed by Philip Gladkov, which premiered in NY on Earth Day. He is also currently writing the score for “5 Mile Point”, a horror/thriller directed by Eric Frankhauser.

Pip is due to release new music in early 2019.
